According to my website it is mentioned more than once about seeking logs primarily from loggers, tree services, and homeowners. The reason is simple; these are my sources for my raw materials to make firewood and produce rough cut lumber. Being such a small company, loggers and tree services often overlook my requests. I’ve posted in Facebook Marketplace and Craig’s list. I’ve received some results but not enough to sustain a regular supply of logs. At one time, I advertised in the weekly “Seven Day’s” and only received one response. Typically, I’ll respond to a request to pick up logs at a location, pay an agreed upon price, load up my truck and head for home, sometimes making multiple trips. Sometimes the homeowner just wants the tree off of their property and they give me the logs for free. From there, I’ll sort the logs, one pile for firewood, the other pile for saw logs. Since we are waiting for the sawmill to arrive, we concentrate our efforts on firewood. We are always in the search for logs because the demand for firewood is relatively constant. So if you know of someone that has logs available, just email me.
