Clean firewood. What does that mean? It means exactly what it says. When you buy firewood from a wood dealer, you expect the firewood to be relatively clean of debris. Many years ago when I was just starting out with a woodstove and buying firewood was a new experience, I ended up getting dirty firewood. It was full of mud and sticks. The mess  ended up in my house. I do not like having a dirty house. Needless to say, I never bought wood from that guy ever again. After that, I found a reputable wood dealer that delivered clean firewood. This individual has an indoor wood processing facility.

When I started processing my firewood for personal use and for sale, I moved my woodyard to the paved portion of my secondary driveway. This made sure that my firewood was clean, free of mud or grass. Splitting wood results in having debris. Typically when I clean up for the day I sweep up and dispose of the debris.. When I’m manually loading the IBC totes great care is exercised to only load firewood and eliminate the bark and other debris.

When you accept delivery of firewood, you can expect clean firewood from Forgione Lumber Company.
