Forgione Lumber Company blog for the week of December 4, 2025 To all my followers of Forgione Lumber Company blog page I would like to welcome you all to our website. The website was launched in September of this year. Featured in the website is how we got started, introduction of products and processes we use, firewood and wood stove safety, and a merchandise page.
There has been little to no online visitors to the website. I can expect this due to the newness of the Forgione Lumber Company. The responses that I have received are from my several family members. Recently, I received an endorsement from a family member who posted on social media.
As you look outside you can see that winter is upon us. Regardless of the colder temperatures and recent snowfall, production still continues at the woodyard. Currently, I’m splitting rounds of an ash tree. It was delivered to me in varying lengths. I’m splitting this wood and dividing it into the smaller sized custom firewood and the standard 16 inch pieces along with larger pieces. All of the firewood is available to our customers. My preference is to cut logs into 16 inch pieces. The 16 inch firewood is easier to handle for stacking or loading your woodstove appliance.
Recently I placed an advertisement in Facebook marketplace seeking loggers and homeowners that have logs available. I did receive several responses from loggers willing to sell me logs. I’ve used Facebook Marketplace to advertise firewood sales. I’ve made several sales already.
Looking forward to 2026, and the Northeast Loggers Expo to be held May 1 and 2, 2026 at the Champlain Valley Exposition, Essex Junction, Vermont. The exposition features the latest in logging technology, seminars on forestry management, safety, and many equipment demonstrations.
