Forgione Lumber Company blog for the week of March 16,2026

Last week I made my last wood delivery for the 2025-2026 heating season. Now the real work begins with cleaning up the woodyard, splitting the last remaining chunks of ash, and awaiting the log deliveries from my suppliers. Over the course of the spring and summer of 2026, I’ll be cutting the logs into 16 inch pieces and splitting them into manageable firewood.
There is a chance that I may have to raise my prices to offset the rapid rise in fuel costs. I will pledge to try and keep firewood prices reasonable.
